2001 Boxster S - Seal Gray, P70 Sport Design Interior, Black

Like many Porsches, this car has been a project car and is a work in progress.  It is now my daily driver because it is just too much fun to leave at home.  The picture above is current as of October, 2002.

Starting out the new year with the infamous RMS problem, January 2003.

A little fun for February 2003, winner of Best Car for the Best Boxster on the Board III Contest.  Thanks everyone.

For those of you who don't remember the days when Disney sold ride tickets instead of day passes, as they do now, you bought a ticket book with A, B, C, D and E tickets.  If you wanted to see 'Its A Small World' you used an A ticket, if you wanted the best ride, like 'Space Mountain', you used an...

RUF sport pedals and painted rear bumperettes, May 2002

GT3 front bumper, June 2002.  No bumper plugs needed.  Now I need to decide whether to add the side skirts.

Boxster Aerokit II side skirts with the GT3 front bumper, August 2002..This time the decision is whether to add the wing.

The completion of the Boxster Aerokit II, the Boxster Aerokit II rear wing, September 2002.  This was a tough decision, but the right one.  I really like the rear wing.  No reversing this decision since it required drilling the trunk lid.

The parts were purchased from FVD in Pompano, FL, http://www.fvd-usa.com/ .  Bryan at FVD is a great guy to work with and has helped me get parts that I couldn't get elsewhere at the time.

I think this is the last of the appearance mods, the clear '03 tail lights, also September 2002

Its amazing how much attention the car gets with the Aerokit II parts.  Literally every time I park it on the street someone comes up and asks about it.  There are a lot of Aerokit 996's in south Florida but not many Aerokit Boxsters around.  In person, the car really stand out being lowered, with the TechArt Formula wheels and the Aerokit II parts.

The final project for 2002, installing a GHL muffler, December 2002

A few small cosmetic changes before BRBS V - de-orange the headlights and install Phillips SilverVision bulbs and change the hood crest for a silver crest which works nicely with the Seal Gray paint color, May 2003.  This Boxster definitely won't see itself anywhere on the street.

New for the car is an '03 rear bumper to replace the original damaged in the Oops incident.  Repair time approached 3 months as some of the Aerokit parts were hard to get, not to mention a body shop that I won't use again, October 2003.
